We don't need to give you a full history of Streisand's stage, film and musical credits, because most of you already know them, but the icon has worn many hats throughout her career, including singer, actress, songwriter, director, producer, author and activist. The list keeps growing.

April 24, 2012, marks Streisand's 70th birthday. Playbill.com has collected some of our favorites, putting special focus on some lesser-known appearances from the early 1960's when Streisand was just starting out. Some are rare, some are well-known, but what they have in common is that they showcase a unique talent that was both fresh and astonishingly polished at only 20 years old.

Happy Birthday, Barbra - here's to life and many more happy days.

Like Judy Garland, Streisand knows how to handle a Harold Arlen tune. Not even 20 years-old in 1961, here's Barbra's very first television appearance on "The Jack Paar Show" performing "A Sleepin' Bee."

At 21 years old, Streisand was already proving why some songs should never be touched once she's done with them. Knocking out "Down With Love" on "The Judy Garland Show" in 1963.
