News THE SCREENING ROOM: Norm Lewis and Andrew Lloyd Webber Rehearse Phantom (Video) Norm Lewis, a Tony Award nominee for his performance as Porgy in The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess, will become the first African-American performer to star in the title role in the New York production of The Phantom of the Opera when he joins the Broadway production May 12.

Lewis and Phantom composer Andrew Lloyd Webber recently rehearsed "The Music of the Night" for an upcoming ABC World News with Diane Sawyer segment on April 4.
