Directed by Emmy winner Ryan Murphy (“Eat Pray Love,” “Glee”), the film was shot in New York City last summer. Kramer adapted his play for the film.

As previously reported, Ryan Murphy's film adaptation of Larry Kramer's landmark AIDS drama The Normal Heart, starring Julia Roberts, Matt Bomer, Mark Ruffalo and Jim Parsons, will premiere on HBO May 25 at 9 PM.
