News "Theater Talk" to Welcome Carnage and Hair Casts in May
Cast members from God of Carnage and the revival of Hair will be featured on upcoming broadcasts of "Theater Talk," the PBS talk show that offers interviews with top theatre practitioners.

The May 1 broadcast (1 AM ET on WNET/Thirteen) will spotlight the four-person cast of Yasmina Reza's Carnage, which comprises Jeff Daniels, Hope Davis, James Gandolfini and Marcia Gay Harden. The foursome, according to press notes, will discuss how they work "together as an ensemble to create their characters and keep them alive eight performances a week."

The May 8 broadcast (1 AM ET on WNET/Thirteen) is titled Hair: Then and Now. Guests will include Jim Rado, who co-wrote the show's book and lyrics and starred in the original production; Gavin Creel, who plays Rado's role of Claude in the current revival; and Galt MacDermot, who wrote the show's rock score. Creel, Rado and MacDermot will perform the musical's first-act finale, "Where Do I Go?"

"Theater Talk" also airs on CUNY TV and in New Jersey on NJN.

"Theater Talk" is hosted by New York Post theatre columnist Michael Riedel and producer Susan Haskins. For more information visit www.theatertalk.org.
