News "Theater Talk" Welcomes Lyricist Rice May 2 The May 2 broadcast of "Theater Talk" — the PBS chat show that offers interviews with top theatre practitioners — will welcome Tony and Academy Award-winning lyricist Tim Rice.

Rice will discuss his many theatrical creations, including Chess, which will be seen at London's Royal Albert Hall May 12-13. This episode of "Theater Talk" will air at 12:30 AM ET on WNET/Thirteen. Additional broadcasts are scheduled for CUNY-TV (weekend of May 10-11) and WGBX in Boston on May 11 at 6:30 PM.

With Andrew Lloyd Webber, Tim Rice penned the lyrics for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Jesus Christ Superstar and Evita. Rice also wrote the lyrics for such musicals as Blondel, Chess, The Lion King, King David and Aida. He also contributed additional lyrics to Beauty and the Beast.
