The resident professional theatre is devoted to original plays and is presenting four new works in its 2004-05 fall winter reading series. Critical Moment is third on the series slate, and is performed by its authors, who take on such roles as pre-teen pals, father and son, two old men, a couple of brothers, a priest and a rabbi and more.

Talbott appeared in HSC's True Home and in Broadway's Sly Fox. Kunken played Hal in Broadway's Proof and in its national tour. He also appeared in David Auburn's The Journals of Mihail Sebastian Off-Broadway. Kunken and Talbott were featured in the first New York revival of Arthur Laurents' Home of the Brave, for Jewish Repertory Theatre.

The HSC reading series aims to be part of the development process of plays by "some of the country's finest playwrights" with performances by "top-notch actors from theatre, film and TV." Audiences are invited to participate in Q&A sessions after each show.

The presentation is 7:30 PM Dec. 3 in Lecture Hall at Woodward Hall at the Briarcliff Manor, NY, campus of Pace University. Admission is $10. For more information, call the HSC hotline at (914) 271 2811 or visit www.hudsonstage.com.
