News Tom Attenborough Will Direct Neil LaBute's Shape of Things at London's Gallery Soho Tom Attenborough will direct Rhapsody of Words' upcoming production of Neil LaBute's The Shape of Things at London's The Gallery Soho.

Performances are scheduled to begin Jan. 27, 2011, with an official opening Feb. 1. The production will run through March 6.

The cast comprises Katy Marks, Lucy Marks, Andrew Nolan and Edward Rowett. Designs are by Francesca Reidy, with lighting by Joshua Carr and sound by Victoria Wilkinson.

This production is a site-responsive piece, "incorporating the setting of the art gallery into the world of the play, with the audience standing as they would in a traditional gallery," according to press notes.

"Adam is a non-descript young student who works part-time in an art museum and a video store just to pay his way through college," according to the producers. "That is, until he meets Evelyn, at which moment his life changes. Evelyn instils a new-found confidence in Adam, making him feel better about himself by changing his appearance, helping him lose weight, and giving him fashion advice. Soon Adam is attracting attention he has never had before. But how far is Adam willing to go to make his relationship with Evelyn work? And how much will he change his perception of himself from what he used to be to what he believes he wants to be?"

The Gallery Soho is located at 123 Charing Cross Road. For tickets visit www.rhapsodyofwords.com.
