News Tom Wopat, Marin Mazzie, Jason Danieley, Rebecca Luker and More to "Headline American Songbook at NJPAC" for PBS The New Jersey Performing Arts Center has partnered with NJTV, New Jersey's public television network, on the production of a new music television series, "American Songbook at NJPAC."

The series will be filmed before a live audience at the arts center and will air on NJTV and WNET in the fall. Taped in NJPAC's Victoria Theater on June 15, the six-part series will feature performances from eight performers, including Tom Wopat, Valerie Simpson, Rebecca Luker, Sandy Stewart, Bill Charlap, Marin Mazzie, Jason Danieley and Maude Maggart. They will each perform a 40-minute set followed by a Q&A session conducted by Ted Chapin, president and executive director of Rodgers & Hammerstein: An Imagen Company.

The series will be crafted from two live performance sessions at NJPAC in Newark, NJ. The first session, at 12 PM, will feature Wopat, Simpson and Luker, while the second, at 6 PM, will feature Mazzie, Danieley, Stewart, Charlap and Maggart. "The American Songbook" performance series at NJPAC is presented, in part, through the support of the Blanche and Irving Laurie Foundation and will benefit The Actors Fund.
