Rabe will play Commander Lyme, a victor of past Hunger Games and a leader of the Rebellion being plotted in District 13.
"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay," which will be presented in two separate films, follows Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) as she reluctantly becomes the symbol of a mass rebellion against the autocratic Capitol. The films will open in November 2014 and November 2015.
Rabe's theatre credits include As You Like It, Seminar, The Merchant of Venice, The American Plan, Heartbreak House and Steel Magnolias. Her film work includes "The First," "All Good Things" and "No Reservations," and among her TV credits are roles in "American Horror Story" and "The Good Wife."
