Entitled "Eavesdropping with Alan Cumming," the second installment of the series will feature an interview with Academy Award-winning actress Halle Berry. On his official website, Cumming says, "It's not really a talk show because there are no sofas and we are mostly walking about outside, but there is a lot of talking. I think of it as a conversation rather than an interview." The first "Eavesdropping" special boasted an interview with another Academy Award winner, Gwyneth Paltrow. "Eavesdropping with Alan Cumming" will air Saturday, Feb. 8 at 10:30 PM (ET) with a rebroadcast on Feb. 9, also at 10:30 PM. The Oxygen Network airs on Channel 61 in the metropolitan New York area; check local listings.
A Tony Award winner for his portrayal of the Emcee in the Broadway revival of Cabaret, Cumming was recently back on the New York stage in the Art Party's mounting of Elle. The Scottish-born thespian has also appeared in such films as "Eyes Wide Shut," "Circle of Friends," Lion King director Julie Taymor's feature-film debut "Titus," "Spy Kids" and "The Anniversary Party" — which he co-wrote, co-directed and co-starred with Cabaret co-star Jennifer Jason Leigh. Cumming also appears in the current film "Nicholas Nickleby," and his debut book, "Tommy's Tale," is now in stores.
