News Tony Winner Kristin Chenoweth Set for "Downstage Center" Radio Broadcast Tony Award winner Kristin Chenoweth — star of the current Broadway revival of The Apple Tree — will appear on upcoming broadcasts of XM Radio's "Downstage Center."

The American Theatre Wing and XM Satellite Radio will present the interview with the actress on the weekly theatrical show on XM's On Broadway (XM Channel 28). The show plays Feb. 23 at 6 PM with repeat broadcasts Saturday at noon, Sunday at 7 PM and Wednesday at 12 AM (ET).

Chenoweth will speak about her move from Oklahoma to Manhattan, her casting as Patty in the revival of You're a Good Man Charlie Brown and her Tony win as Sally as well as the evolution of her Wicked witch, her roles in The Apple Tree, her solo concert debut at the Metropolitan Opera and her upcoming Met Opera debut in The Ghosts of Versailles.

A Tony winner for You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown, Chenoweth has also played on Broadway in Wicked, Steel Pier and Epic Proportions. She has recently taken to both the big and small screens: in TV's "The West Wing" and in the films "Bewitched," "The Pink Panther," "RV," "Running with Scissors," "Stranger Than Fiction" and "Deck the Halls." Next, she will appear in the City Center Encores! run of Stairway to Paradise (May 10-14).

Chenoweth reprises her 2005 New York City Center Encores! turn in the central roles of Eve, Princess Barbara and Ella in the Roundabout Theatre Company production of The Apple Tree that is rooted at Studio 54. The show began previews Nov. 29, 2006, and opened Dec. 14 for a limited run through March 11.
