News Tony Winner Mark Rylance to Perform an Evening of Improv to Benefit Stella Adler Studio Tony Award winner Mark Rylance, who is currently back on Broadway in La Bête, will perform a special benefit for the Stella Adler Studio of Acting Nov. 8.

Entitled Off the Grid in Manhattan, the 7 PM performance at The Cherry Pit will "include spontaneous improv theater with Mark Rylance and friends in full support of the Stella Adler Studio," according to press notes.

Tom Oppenheim, artistic director of the Stella Adler Studio, said in a statement, "Mark Rylance represents the kind of artist that we strive to cultivate at the studio. His performance will help raise critical funds for the Outreach Division and we are proud to have him here as a living example of our philosophy that growth as an actor and growth as a human being are synonymous."

Rylance won his Tony Award for his work in Boeing Boeing.
