"Genius," the story of New York book editor Max Perkins, is penned by Tony Award winner John Logan, whose play Red won Grandage the Tony Award in 2010 for Best Direction.
The film, which is adapted from A. Scott Berg's Pulitzer Prize-winning biography "Max Perkins: Editor of Genius," will be produced by Harvey Weinstein with Logan in association with Michael Grandage Company. "Genius" is expected to begin pre-production next year.
Grandage, who directed the current Broadway revival of Evita, was Tony-nominated for his work on Frost/Nixon and also directed Hamlet. Visit his page at the Playbill Vault.
