La Bella y la Bestia opened May 8, 1997 at the Teatro Orfeon starring Lolita Cortes as Belle (Peter Pan, Grease!) and Roberto Blandon (Woman of the Year, 42nd Street) as the Beast. This is the first production of the international hit to be performed in Spanish. There's a projected South American tour for this production, although no dates or cities have been announced yet since the production is enjoying a highly successful open run in Mexico City.
Produced by Walt Disney Theatrical Productions, Rock & Pop International and OCESA, La Bella y la Bestia runs at the Teatro Orfeon from Wed. through Fri. at 8:30PM, Sat. at 4PM & 8:30PM and Sun. at 1PM & 5:30PM.
