New York area theatre fans can find out what's happening on Playbill On-Line by watching "Two on the Aisle," the biweekly cable TV show that covers the New York theatre scene. Hosted by Charles Gross and Jeff Goodman, the show is described as "the theatre's answer to Siskel & Ebert, with a dash of 'Entertainment Tonight' thrown in."
"Two on the Aisle" broadcasts in Manhattan on Paragon and Manhattan cable's channel 69 every other Tuesday at 7:30 PM. The show also is seen in Bergen County, New Jersey, on channel 12 Mondays at 8:30 PM. Upcoming Schedule:
NOV. 5: Reviews of "Sex & Longing" and "Grease." An interview with Elyayne Walk who performs a scene as a television star "Gertrude (Molly Goldberg) Berg" from her Off-Broadway show "The Theory of Relatives." Plus critics Charles Gross and Jeff Goodman celebrate the 1,000th performance of "Grease" at the Motown Cafe by interviewing its cast members including Sheena Easton.
The programs will feature footage from some of the shows. Gross and Goodman will highlight major guests and features on Playbill On-Line on each of their future shows.
