When we think of British theatre expertise, we naturally tend to think in terms of actors, directors, writers and designers.
Yet there are a great variety of areas of expertise in which Britain still makes a world-wide contribution, and one of the most important is the design and construction of theatres themselves.
This has been brought home — literally — by the fact that Theatre Projects Consultants have been awarded, in her Jubilee Year, the Queen's Award For Enterprise.
The company has designed theatres, opera houses and other performance spaces across the world, and is probably the best-known organization of its kind.
