Here's what to expect on Rio de Janiero's stages in the upcoming months:

Nelson Rodrigues´ drama All Nudity Will Be Punished (Toda Nudez Sera Castigada), about a prostitute who marries a widower and falls in love with his son, opens June 5, at The Carlos Gomes Theatre. This drama stars Marilia Pera as the prostitute Geni, and it will be directed by Moacyr Goes.

Exploring the relationships of three friends in the business world of power, Art (Arte) by Yasmina Reza, opens July 1, at The Shopping da Gavea Theatre. Directed by Mauro Rasi, the play stars well-known actors Pedro Paulo Rangel, Carlos Eduardo Dolabella and Jose Mayer.

Award-winning Brazilian star Fernanda Montenegro plays a famous actress who loses her boyfriend to her son´s girlfriend in Chekhov´s The Sea Gull (Na Gaivota). Adapted and directed by Daniela Thomas, this drama also stars TV and movie actress Fernanda Torres as a country-side girl who dreams of stardom. It opens July 31 at The Leblon Theatre.

Directed by Enrique Diaz, established actresses Claudia Abreu, Maria Padilha and Louise Cardoso perform tedious women living in a Russian province in Chekhov´s classic The Three Sisters (As Tres Irmas). Brilliant actor Jose Wilker plays the soldier who breaks the routine of their lives. It opens on September 25 at The Leblon Theatre.
