News U.S. Premiere of Scraps Takes Place Sept. 3 in Santa Monica The British theatre company re-Act will cross the ocean to bring its production of Stephen Message's comedy Scraps to the Santa Monica Playhouse Sept. 3, 1999 for a six-week run. Scraps has had sell-out runs in London, Birmingham and several other cities throughout England. The play deals with five 30-something friends whose lives don't go according to plan. The harder they try to fix things, the more disastrous the results.

The British theatre company re-Act will cross the ocean to bring its production of Stephen Message's comedy Scraps to the Santa Monica Playhouse Sept. 3, 1999 for a six-week run. Scraps has had sell-out runs in London, Birmingham and several other cities throughout England. The play deals with five 30-something friends whose lives don't go according to plan. The harder they try to fix things, the more disastrous the results.In its debut at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Scraps was voted "Pick of the Day" by both The Scotsman and The Stage newspapers. Directed by Lucy Pittman-Wallace, the comedy co-stars Message and Silas Cooper (star of the films "Schizopolis" and "Snakeskin Jacket").
