News Walsh, Pawk, Peil, Hoty, Murney, Testa to Team Teach Master Class Broadway stars Dee Hoty, Julia Murney, Michele Pawk, Mary Beth Peil, Mary Testa and Barbara Walsh are teaming up to teach "Diva Master Classes," a series of musical theatre performance classes presented by the Transport Group from April 23-May 28.

The intimate class of ten pupils — which will cost $750 per student and is by application — will meet for three hours every Monday at 6 PM. According to press notes, the participants "will learn from a different Broadway diva each week, covering various musical topics: song interpretation, ballads, up-tempos, audition material, and comic songs, among many others."

Murney currently appears on Broadway as Elphaba in Wicked and has also appeared in Andrew Lippa's The Wild Party. Walsh is a Tony Award nominee for Falsettos and currently appears on Broadway as Joanne in Company.

Pawk is a Tony Award winner for Hollywood Arms and has also appeared in Crazy for You, Cabaret and The Paris Letter. Hoty is a three-time Tony Award nominee for The Will Rogers Follies, The Best Little Whorehouse Goes Public and Footloose.

Peil is a Tony Award nominee for a revival of The King and I with Yul Brynner and also appeared in the recent revival of Nine. Testa is a Tony Award nominee for 42nd Street and On The Town and has also appeared in First Lady Suite, String of Pearls and See What I Wanna See.

The Transport Group's next production is William Inge's The Dark at the Top of the Stairs, starring Pawk. Classes will take place at 520 Eighth Avenue between 36th and 37th streets.
