News Watch If/Then Tony Nominee Idina Menzel Perform "You Learn To Live Without" on "Letterman" (Video) Idina Menzel, a 2014 Tony Award nominee for her performance as Elizabeth in Broadway's If/Then, recently visited the "Late Show with David Letterman" to perform "You Learn To Live Without" from the new Tom Kitt-Brian Yorkey musical.

If/Then, the new musical about a woman starting over in New York City — and the two roads that she travels down to rebuild her life — opened March 30 at the Richard Rodgers Theatre. "What I love about our show is that you encounter these moments every day," Yorkey explained to Playbill.com. "Especially in New York City, you see roads — literally — you might have taken, people you might not have met if you hadn't been on a certain subway train, who change your life…who truly change your life… What's really fascinating about [If/Then], for me, are the moments that happen in the present, and we don't know how huge they're going to be until much later."
