News West End Production of Ghost the Musical Will Close in October The original West End production of Ghost the Musical, currently running at the Piccadilly Theatre, has confirmed that it is to shutter Oct. 6. It was originally booking through April 20, 2013.

It is currently also running at Broadway's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre.

In a press statement, lead producer Colin Ingram commented, "After a sell-out season in Manchester where Ghost The Musical received its world premiere, we were delighted to bring the show to the West End where it is now playing simultaneously with our Broadway production, having been seen by over 500,000 people.  We are very proud of Ghost The Musical and look forward to continuing to work with our brilliant production teams both in the West End and world-wide to cast our magic further afield with productions already planned for Australia and Korea as well as our US and UK tours.”

Ghost the Musical, which currently stars Mark Evans and Siobhan Dillion in the roles originated by Richard Fleeshman and Caissie Levy, who are now reprising their original performances on Broadway, has music and lyrics by Grammy Award-winning Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard and features the iconic song "Unchained Melody." 

Bruce Joel Rubin has adapted his original screenplay for the stage.  Set and costume designs are by Rob Howell, choreography is by Ashley Wallen with musical supervision and arrangements by Christopher Nightingale, illusions by Paul Kieve, lighting by Hugh Vanstone and projection design by Jon Driscoll.
