This week in Playbill Chat the buzz is focused on Chicago ,which opened up on Broadway on November 14th. Chicago starring Ann Reinking, Bebe Neuwirth, James Naughton, and Joel Grey is now playing at the Richard Rogers Theatre on 46th Street but is scheduled to move to the Shubert Theatre in February. From the "types" of it, Chicagois a huge hit. The theatre has reportedly sold over $1 million in ticket sales in its opening weekend. The audience loves the show and the reactions have been nothing but good. Here are what some of the Playbill On-Line club members had to say about it:

Bartleby w says "...the production was absolutley astonishing, and the cast is quite incredible! Ann is a definite lock for best actress, she overplays everything to perfect effect!".

Eklenk tells us, "I loved it!!!!!! I liked everything, the costumes, the songs, the music, the choreography, and everything else."

AMustakas says it's a "sexy, provocative, funny show with great songs and very strong performances. Should definitley be a hit."
Another one of the ongoing hot topics is the Boston production of Rent. Now that it has officially opened, more and more people are flocking up to Boston to catch this new cast perform the hit musical. The Broadway cast was present for the opening night and got a round of applause when they entered the theatre.
