News Will Chase to Return to Nashville The singing actor recently left his role in Broadway’s Something Rotten!

Stage and screen star Will Chase, who recently left the role of Shakespeare in the Tony-nominated musical comedy Something Rotten!, will make a guest appearance on the fifth season of Nashville, which will debut in 2017 on CMT, according to Deadline.com.

Chris Carmack, a regular on the series, revealed the news on Twitter. Chase was seen as country star Luke Wheeler on the second, third, and fourth seasons of the drama, previously broadcast on ABC.

Singing actor Chase, whose Broadway credits also include Miss Saigon, The Full Monty, High Fidelity, Billy Elliot, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, and more, will also be seen on Time After Time, the ABC midseason drama based on the book by Karl Alexander.

Chase was Tony-nominated for his performance in Drood.
