Although plans are in the very early stages, Barrowman told London's Daily Mirror, "I absolutely love the show … I'm not sure what kind of character I'd like to play. Maybe I could be a teacher, you know, another teacher who comes in and helps out. That's me just kind of brainstorming, but the fact that they want to have a meeting with me is really quite nice in itself, it's so exciting!"

Barrowman's stage credits include La Cage Aux Folles, A Few Good Men, Sunset Boulevard, The Fix and Anything Goes in London, Sunset Boulevard and Putting It Together on Broadway, and Company at the Kennedy Center in Washington. He created the role of Captain Jack Harness on the long-running BBC-TV series "Doctor Who," from which his own spinoff series, "Torchwood," was created. He has appeared as a judge on several UK reality-TV competitions, and will appear in a five-episode arc on ABC-TV's "Desperate Housewives" this spring.
