News Will Mary-Louise Parker Return to Showtime in New Series About Mary Karr? Tony winner Mary-Louise Parker, last seen on Broadway in The Snow Geese, may star in a new Showtime series based on the memoirs of poet/essayist Mary Karr, Deadline.com reports.

If Parker stars as the author of the bestselling memoir "The Liars' Club," she will return to the network where she led the hit series "Weeds" from 2005-12. 

Parker's stage credits also include Prelude to a Kiss, Proof, Reckless, How I Learned to Drive, Dead Man's Cell Phone and Hedda Gabler. Her film work includes "Saved!," "Romance & Cigarettes," "Fried Green Tomatoes," "Naked In New York," "The Client," "Bullets Over Broadway," "Red Dragon" and "Howl." Her TV work includes "Weeds," "The West Wing" and "Angels in America."

Parker, should she commit to the series, would also serve as an executive producer alongside Sarah Timberman and Carl Beverly.
