The company, which recently made a bid for Off-Broadway's New World Stages complex, told the Post that they are "in negotiations" to fill the space on 8th Avenue, which they own — between Frankie & Johnnie's steakhouse and the Shuberts' Imperial Theatre. The site is now partly filled with tents selling trinkets, and the area recently housed Kazino, the supper club-style venue built especially for Off-Broadway's Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812.
The Shuberts built Off-Broadway's Little Shubert Theatre in 2002.
