News World Premiere at Gym at Judson Spotlights Lesbian Mom Raising Her Teenage Son The Kindling Theater Company and Apartment 10C Productions will present the world premiere of Leave Me Green by Lisi DeHaas. The dramedy, set in New York during the historic moment when marriage equality was passed, will explore the "challenges of building a queer community while raising non-queer kids."

Directed by Jay Stull, Leave Me Green will play the Gym at Judson March 20-April 11. Opening night is scheduled for March 26.

The play explores the relationships among a group of New Yorkers touched by loss, including a lesbian and her straight teenage son, examining how they are broken, then rebuilt and redefined. According to press notes, DeHaas' newest work is "a probing and intimate look at the bonds of family."

The cast includes Charlotte Booker (Born Yesterday), Oscar A.L. Cabrera (Basilica), Michael Gaines and Emma Meltzer (Good Men Wanted).

The production will have set design by Jessica Parks, lighting design by Nicholas Houfek, costume design by Lux Haac, sound design by Jeanne Travis and Kristine Schlachter as production stage manager.
