Rachel Shukert ("Everything Is Going to Be Great") and The New Yorker cultural writer Michael Schulman created the evening. Peter James Cook (Never Sleep Alone) directs the 8 PM performance of notable acceptance speeches from awards-show history.

Ryan Raftery hosts the event as Billy Crystal. It features Hoffman (The Addams Family, Xanadu), Louryk (Christine Jorgensen Reveals), cabaret performer Pope, Escola (Jukebox Jackie) and Village Voice writer Musto, as well as Mike Albo, Sean Dugan ("Smash"), Roslyn Hart (Never Sleep Alone), Myles Kane, The O'Debra Twins, Ben Rimalower (Patti Issues), Megan Stern and Varsity Interpretive Dance Squad.
