SGT. “FROGGY” LESUEUR: British military, with a spirit of adventure. Loud, bombastic, overwhelmingly British. Charlie’s old friend.

BETTY MEEKS: Elderly widow who owns the resort lodge. A hard worker, she has a fun, sarcastic nature, with moments of ditziness. Everyone’s southern Appalachian grandmother.

REV. DAVID MARSHALL LEE: Catherine’s fiancé. Seems like a charmer and sophisticated young religious man on the surface (“a good man to have on our side”), but shows his true, cruel colors when alone with Charlie.

CATHERINE SIMMS: A formidable former debutante, heiress to a family fortune, engaged to David. Emotional firecracker. Kind and caring toward her brother, Ellard, and shows Charlie the same attention.

ELLARD SIMMS: Catherine’s brother, who will only inherit if Catherine deems him “smart enough to handle it.” Kind and gentle-hearted with a trusting nature that can get him in trouble, but seen as lumpy, overgrown, and simple.

OWEN MUSSER: Georgia property inspector. Superstitious, mean, dangerous racist.

HICKORY / TIN MAN: (Baritone/Tenor, to G) Desperate for a heart. A kind-hearted romantic. Singing and dance required.

ZEKE / COWARDLY LION: (Baritone, to F) A mix of bravado and cowardice. Should move well. Cuddly with excellent comic timing.
