DESCRIPTION

Seeking an Assistant Director for the Annual Lower East Side Festival of the Arts (LES), a 3-day extravaganza celebrating the ethnic and artistic diversity of the Lower East Side. Over 150 theater groups, performers, dancers, musicians, filmmakers, and visual artists are showcased in this event, which will take place May 24, 25 and 26 this year. Note: Assistant Director will meet with the LES Committee every Saturday and act as personal assistant to TNC's Artistic Director, Crystal Field. Minimal time commitment at first, but in May Assistant Director will be needed 10-12 hours a week. It is an excellent opportunity for someone to become involved in the downtown arts scene.
