DESCRIPTION

Disney Theatrical Productions is currently seeking an Automation Carpenter for our North American Touring production of THE LION KING. The Assistant Carpenter assists the Head Carpenter in the safe and consistent running of the load-in, load-out, maintenance and operation of the scenic elements of the production.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Automation / Assistant Carpenter duties include but are not limited to:

  • Running automation console during the performance
  • Loading out the show
  • Supervising local crew during load-in and load-out (with direction from the Head Carpenter)
  • Coordinate with the other stage departments to determine safety concerns
  • Manage inventory of automation specific spare equipment
  • Troubleshoot and maintain automation equipment
  • Attend relevant work-calls and rehearsals, as requested
  • Attend all crew meetings, as required
  • Directly report to Head Carpenter
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

· Automation experience with full IATSE Yellow Card Tours and/or Tier Tours

· Must be a forward-thinking person who can work independently as well as part of a team to achieve desired results.

· Great communication and leadership skills.

· Ability to work closely with other creative individuals with respect and harmony.

· Possess a friendly, empathetic, and collaborative spirit with a passion for excellence.

· Commitment to actively being part of and supporting a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Salary = $2,550.40 per week
