BULL DURHAM
BULL DURHAM, A New Musical is based on the classic MGM film, tells the story of three lives brought together by America’s two favorite pastimes: baseball and love. It’s a pitch perfect blend of comedy, drama, and steamy romance. Bull Durham, A New Musical is written by the film’s original screenwriter, Ron Shelton (writer and director of Bull Durham, White Men Can’t Jump and Tin Cup), who has adapted his screenplay for the musical, which has music and lyrics by Susan Werner.

DEKE/ENSEMBLE (Late 20s-30s). Male. African-American baseball player. Funny. Strong dancer and great singer.
UMPIRE/ENSEMBLE (Late 30s-40s). Male. Any ethnicity. A macho man. Could be a little out of shape. Funny with authority. Strong mover and singer.
MALE ENSEMBLE (20s - 30s). Any ethnicity. Male-identifying singers who are funny, must be physically agile and fit, and dance well. Great pop/rock voices.
