DESCRIPTION

Junior theater producer wanted for a fledgling theater company. We've been presenting a variety of staged readings over the last two years and are gaining momentum. Our focus is on new works, mostly in a comedic epic theater style with large casts. We do some experimental pieces while maintaining an eye on eventual commercial viability. We're always looking to connect with like-minded developers. There are two pathways: a more administrative producer role that involves organizing stage readings and other initiatives, and a creative producer role focusing on developing material, assisting with casting, and contributing to various creative decisions. This company is fully dedicated to brand-new works, and we intend to continue that approach. Candidates are also welcome to support both administrative and technical aspects.

The ideal candidate doesn't need a lot of experience, but an excellent familiarity with past and current trends in theatre (commercial / experimental) are very valuable, to help position the work within the larger story.

We foster a collaborative and respectful environment where everyone has a voice in the creative process. If this opportunity interests you, please send a resume and a few sentences about yourself. Remote work is possible to some extent but ideally the candidate would be able to travel to midtown Manhattan. Good experience builder, and we are very interested in those of diverse backgrounds to apply.
