DESCRIPTION

Internationally recognized theatre camp, STAGEDOOR MANOR (“the coolest camp for kids” according to Teen People), is accepting submissions from MASTER CARPENTERs. Work closely with PM, TD, and a technical team of 45+ in the construction & coordination of the build of all shows in our team atmosphere. As the supervisor of the scene shop the desired skills include the ability to run a clean, efficient shop; ensure proper health & safety regulations; problem solve construction issues; train on proper usage & safety of tools; collaborate with TD on daily/weekly scene shop build schedule and maintain adherence to to that build schedule. We are located just north of NYC, and produce 40 full scale shows, in our 8-onsite theaters (Black Box to Proscenium to In the Round) each summer...built in our 2 Scene Shops. We seek energetic, hardworking & fun-loving individuals to join us in creating the theatrical worlds for our campers to have a positive experience this summer.

SALARY, plus the added benefits of FREE MEALS & FREE HOUSING and a Travel Stipend. *This summer we will be implementing a new Tech schedule designed to reduce Tech Staff overall work hours by 10%.

Contract: June 5 - August 20, 2024 ~ All positions non-union.

Requirements: Vary by position & level...but all staff must be at least 20 years old.
