DESCRIPTION

The White Plains Performing Arts Center a non-profit regional theatre is looking for energetic, passionate individuals to work with our Summer Theatre Academy students in our summer camp.

We are looking to hire Music Directors for our summer youth shows. Ideally, we would like a separate music director for each session. These roles are responsible for teaching the music in the show, running tracks for the performances as well as teaching mini master classes/workshops on select days when not rehearsing. MD's need to be proficient on the piano.

DATES:


  • Mean Girls JR (3-week camp): (Grades 6-12)

July 1-20 Performances Fri. July 19th & Sat. July 20th
*There will be no camp on July 4 due to Independence Day.


  • Matilda JR. (3-week camp): (Grades 4-10)

July 22 - August 10th Performances Fri. August 9th & Sat. August 10th


  • Alice in Wonderland JR (2-week camp): (Grades 2-10)

August 12th -24th Performances Fri. Aug. 23th and Saturday Aug 24th


  • Willy Wonka Kids (1-week camp): (Grades 1-8)

August 26th-30th Performances Fri. Aug. 30th

HOURS:


  • 10:00am - 4:00pm daily, Monday-Friday

REQUIREMENTS:


  • College Graduate or equal professional experience in Music Direction

  • Previous experience working with school-aged students is a must

  • Applicants must have access to local housing - no housing provided and no transportation.

  • You can apply for any number of sessions but you must be available for the entire session you are applying for.

PAY: $800/week
