Unique in its format, each FROM STUDIO TO STAGE class features two industry professionals: vocal technician Natalie Wilson and a guest coach from "the other side of the table". May’s guest is Music Director Julie McBride, currently the MD for MOULIN ROUGE on Broadway. Julie is an expert on pop/rock musical styles for the stage, and Natalie can help you find the vocal technique to produce those styles.
The 3-hour class is limited to 9 singers, so each singer gets 15-20 minutes of individual coaching on audition repertoire from both a vocal technique angle and presentation angle, in a supportive atmosphere in front of an audience. Auditors get to observe what it looks like when other people audition, and gain valuable insight into what people behind the table see.
