DESCRIPTION

Emursive Productions, the producing company behind the McKittrick Hotel, home of Sleep No More, Gallow Green, Manderley Bar, and The Club Car is seeking a Producing Apprentice to work on a new production. The Apprentice will have the opportunity to work on New York's premier immersive theater production, within a team of experienced immersive theater production professionals to gain experience in the functioning components, maintenance, and continued development of a large scale immersive production. By working with the team to oversee the production, the apprentice will gain great knowledge and experience in the inner workings of producing on this scale. The Apprentice will be hands-on in facilitating projects within the producing scope of a new immersive production, all whilst getting a chance to ask questions, and learn from industry professionals. A successful candidate will have some experience working with live events or theatrical production, creating and utilizing paperwork, and possess a baseline knowledge of the trades of technical theater production and performance.


We are seeking someone who is a true self-starter, a multi-tasker, and someone able to prioritize responsibilities. Candidates will demonstrate attention to detail, creative problem-solving skills, possess and exhibit empathy, exude a good sense of humor, and a track record of on-their-feet problem solving. Candidates must be proactive and possess clear communication skills and the ability to be a team player.

Responsibilities:

- Sit in on production and departmental meetings and take notes

- Maintain databases of information and records via Airtable, Google Drive, etc.

- Assist in tracking onboarding paperwork, filing employee paperwork.

- Meeting arrangements, maintaining schedules

- Drafting and managing contracts

- Helping to ensure a safe working environment for all onsite employees

- Acting as liaison between departments

- Other duties as assigned by the Producing Team

- Lifting up to 25 lbs


Environmental Factors:

*Can complete responsibilities and duties under the following conditions when needed*

- Spaces which contain large amounts of dust + uneven flooring

- Numerous trips up and down six floors, unaided by the elevator

- Strobing lights

- Continuous, large quantities of haze

- Minimal to no lighting


Rate:

$20/hr, Expected 40 hrs/wk

SALARY

$20.00 – $20.00 per hour
