Position: Production Carpenter
Department: Production
Reports to: Head Carpenter
FLSA Classification: Hourly
Compensation: The base pay rate is set by the current IATSE Local 15 CBA contract rate, currently at $45.16. This position has a 46 week guarantee.
Benefits: Benefits are provided through Local 15 according to the terms of the collective bargaining agreement.
Work Location: The 5th Avenue Theatre administrative offices located within Skinner Building (1326 5th Avenue, Suite 735); The 5th Avenue Scene Shop in South Seattle (860 S Cambridge St), and the warehouse in Kent (22703 72nd Ave S).
Position Overview:
The Production Carpenter works with the Technical Director, Head Carpenter, and affected Department Heads to plan seasonal and show-specific Carpentry Department labor, projects, staffing and equipment needs. The ability to work overtime, evening, and weekend hours based on performance schedules is essential to this position.
This position is represented by IATSE, Local No. 15.
The 5th Avenue Theatre is a member of LORT (League of Resident Theaters), and produces on a LORT A stage, including educational performances and tours.
