ABOUT THE PLAY

MISSIONARY WOMAN by Meg Rosensweet. NON-EQUITY ONLY. In the city of Straightsville, a superhero, Missionary Man, stands as the first line of defense between the city's conservative values and the queer supervillains who escaped from the local liberal arts college. That is until The Mayor decides to propose anti-trans legislation on the first day of Pride, prompting Missionary Man to come out as a transgender woman, and Missionary Woman is born! After The Mayor fires her for embracing her truth, Missionary Woman has no choice but to ally herself with her arch-nemesis, Professor Strap-On, to dismantle Straightsville's oppressive, cishet regime.

(Content warnings include Sex, BDSM, gun violence, transphobia/transmisogyny, homophobia.)
