Mainstages is currently hiring for Part-Time Day Camp Opportunities. We are looking for the type of person who can entertain a crowd and creatively uplift values and themes. If that sounds like you, please apply!

Day Camp Partners:

mainstages is looking for the type of person who can entertain a crowd, has experience working as a Teaching Artist and is passionate about fostering values and fun! Teaching Artists will teach rotating theatre activity periods to campers from grades K-6th. All day camp positions also require applicants to have their own local housing. Day Camp applicants require local applicants to have access to a vehicle or may request bussing to the camp location. *Applicants with access to their own vehicle are highly encouraged to apply.

We currently have two beautiful Day Camps located in Westchester area and one located in Staten Island. Part-Time Day Camp Teaching Artists typically work 1-3x a week facilitating 6/7 sessions per day. Camp contracts are typically 6-8 weeks in length (late June –mid August).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include:

-Develop and teach inclusive, impactful, creative and fun lesson plans/activities
-Attend both camp and mainstages trainings
-Be culuturally responsive and adapt programming based on community needs
-Manage classroom behaviors
