SYNOPSIS: Wily Roman slave Pseudolus will do virtually anything to win his freedom in this musical farce that is equal parts classical Roman comedy and American burlesque. Pseudolus' master, Hero, promises to free him if he'll help Hero win the love of the beautiful Philia. But Philia is a courtesan in the House of Lycus, and has been promised in marriage to the brutal captain Miles Gloriosus. How can Pseudolus win the girl without crossing Hero's parents, Lycus, the captain, and his high-strung fellow slave Hysterium?
