News Haran, Mazzie, Danieley and Barrett to Salute Harold Prince May 3 New York Festival of Song will salute Tony Award-winning director/producer Harold Prince May 3 at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall.

The 7 PM concert, entitled A Prince of a Fella! A Salute to Harold Prince, will feature the talents of Mary Cleere Haran, Marin Mazzie, Jason Danieley and Brent Barrett. New York Festival of Song Artistic Director Steven Blier will accompany the singers on piano. Concertgoers can expect to hear tunes from the many musicals Prince has directed or produced throughout his career. Founded in 1988 by Michael Barrett and Blier, New York Festival of Song is "dedicated to creating intimate song concerts of great beauty, humor and originality, combining music, poetry, monologue, and story, to entertain, educate and create community among audiences and performers." The May 3 concert will be followed by a seated dinner at Shelly's New York, 104 West 57th Street.

Among the Broadway shows Harold Prince has directed and produced are Follies, A Little Night Music and Sweeney Todd. His most recent Broadway directorial credits include The Phantom of the Opera, Kiss of the Spider Woman, Candide, Parade, Show Boat and Hollywood Arms; he also helmed the out-of-town productions of Stephen Sondheim's Bounce.
