Regional News Nick Adams Is Gabey in Gateway’s On the Town, Starting June 28 The classic musical, which celebrates New York City, plays the Long Island venue through July 15.

The Gateway's production of the classic American musical On the Town is presented in Bellport Village June 28–July 15.

The cast features Priscilla Queen of the Desert's Nick Adams as Gabey, Virginia Preston as Ivy, Daniel Switzer as Chip, Lexi Lyric as Hildy, Sean Ewing as Ozzie, Amanda Higgins as Claire de Lune, Mychal Phillips as Lucy, Andy Redeker as Judge Pitkin, and Mary Stout as Madame Dilly.

The ensemble includes Richard Biglia, Nick Cayce, Kevin Paul Clark, Monica Cioffi, Hannah Crews, Eve Danziger, Barrett Davis, Matthew Fama, Kimber Hampton, Akina Kitazawa, Ryan Koerber, Jessica Lawyer, Katie Mitchell, Alicia Newcom, Brian Ray Norris, Aidan Passaro, Dylan Cole Passman, Eric Rivas, and Thomas Sutter.

Scott Thompson directs and choreographs the production, which features musical direction by Jeffrey Buchsbaum and set design by Michael Boyer.

On the Town, based on Jerome Robbins’ ballet Fancy Free, features a score by Leonard Bernstein and book and lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green. Songs include “New York, New York,” “I Can Cook Too,” “Some Other Time,” and “Lonely Town.”
