News   Premiere Date Announced for Second Season of "Mozart in the Jungle," Starring Bernadette Peters
 
Amazon has announced a premiere date for the entire second season of its original series "Mozart in the Jungle," starring three-time Tony winner Bernadette Peters and Gael Garcia Bernal.

Deadline reports that the second season of "Mozart in the Jungle" will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime in the U.S., the U.K., Germany and Austria beginning Dec. 30.

The series also stars Lola Kirke, Saffron Burrows and Malcolm McDowell.

Guest stars who will appear in the new season include Gretchen Mol, Dermot Mulroney, Esai Morales, Gustavo Dudamel, Lang Lang, Emanuel Ax and more.

The series, based on Blair Tindall's memoir "Mozart in the Jungle: Sex, Drugs, and Classical Music," is described as such: "Love, money, ambition and music intertwine in 'Mozart in the Jungle,' a half hour comedic drama that looks at finding yourself and finding love while conquering New York City. A brash new maestro Rodrigo stirs up the New York Symphony as young oboist Hailey hopes for her big chance."
