News BroadwayCon Schedule Revealed! Your First Peek at Theatrical Events, Insider Panels and Interactive Workshops For three days in January, theatre fans will gather in New York City for the first-ever BroadwayCon. Here's a sneak peek at the schedule for the theatre-packed event, including star panels, unmissable events and fan meet-ups!

The anticipated three-day event will give fans an all-access experience with performers, musicians, dancers, choreographers, writers, designers and more. BroadwayCon takes place Jan. 22-24, 2016, at the New York Hilton Midtown.

Theatre fans will have the chance to connect with one another in a series of meet-ups geared toward the shows and writers they love. From Stephen Sondheim to Andrew Lloyd Webber, "Smash" to Newsies, Rent and Hamilton, attendees are sure to make new theatre buddies who share their interests.

A host of industry panels are also on the slate including, "Making Your Own Work" (featuring Andrew Keenan-Bolger, Kait Kerrigan, Brian Lowdermilk, Alice Ripley and Kate Wetherhead); "Producing 101" (featuring Ken Davenport, John Johnson, Alia Jones-Harvey, Hal Luftig, Daryl Roth and Barbara Whitman); and "Hear My Song: Creating a Cast Recording" (featuring Van Dean, Scott Farthing and Rob Sher).

Other special events include "Breaking Down the Riffs" with Natalie Weiss; a panel with Deaf West Theatre (behind this season's acclaimed revival of Spring Awakening); "Broadway Siblings" (with Karmine Alers, Yassmin Alers, Andrew Keenan-Bolger, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Maggie Keenan-Bolger); and "Broadway's Smallest Stars" (featuring Sophia Gennusa, Oona Laurence, Sawyer Nunes, Sam Poon, Taylor Richardson and Ripley Sobo).

Also planned are master classes with Anthony Rapp and Rebecca Luker, as well as a special talkback with Melissa Errico.

What You Need to Know About BroadwayCon – The Event That Has All of Broadway Buzzing

Playbill has partnered with BroadwayCon to present the event created by theatre lovers for theatre lovers. Melissa Anelli, Stephanie Dornhelm and original Rent star Anthony Rapp conceived the event.

Hamilton star and creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, who stars as the "ten dollar founding father," will be joined at BroadwayCon by co-stars Leslie Odom, Jr., Phillipa Soo, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Daveed Diggs, Jonathan Groff and Jackson. Fans can expect to catch them as part of the Jan. 22 opening events.

Also revealed for the weekend is "OBSESSED! Live Disaster! Edition," in which the show's creator and star Seth Rudetsky will be joined by fellow cast members Roger Bart, Faith Prince, Kerry Butler and Jennifer Simard for a special live edition of the popular Playbill video series.
