Daniel Radcliffe Says It Will Be "Weird" to See Someone Else Play Harry Potter in Stage Show (Video) | Playbill

News Daniel Radcliffe Says It Will Be "Weird" to See Someone Else Play Harry Potter in Stage Show (Video) Daniel Radcliffe, who played the title role in the mega-successful Harry Potter film franchise (2001-11), told interviewers Nov. 9 that it will be "weird" to see someone else play the role in the upcoming London stage adaptation.

Radcliffe, who has moved on to a successful film and stage career beyond the Potter universe, made the comments on ABC-TV's "LIVE with Kelly and Michael" show. He told the hosts that he will not be playing the role in the 2016 London production Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, in part because he's not age-appropriate for the role — but didn't rule out playing it in the (distant) future.
