Tom will portray Catherine, the role created to Tony-winning effect by Mary Louise Parker, in the David Auburn play for Montclair State University's TheatreFest. Proof, directed by John Wooten, will run Sept. 2-12.

Proof opened at Broadway's Walter Kerr Theatre on Oct. 24, 2000, playing 916 performances before closing Jan. 5, 2003. The original cast included Mary-Louise Parker, who won a Tony Award for her performance as Catherine; Larry Bryggman; Johanna Day; and Ben Shenkman. Under the direction of Daniel Sullivan, the production also won the 2001 Tony Award for Best Play as well as the Pulitzer Prize in Drama.

Heather Tom made her Broadway debut in Prymate. She also performed the role of Daisy in the Los Angeles production of Biloxi Blues. A two-time Emmy Award-winning actress for her role on "The Young and the Restless," Tom can now be seen on "One Life to Live." Tom's other screen credits include "Kids Incorporated," "Who's the Boss?," "Lessie's Rainbow" and "Lookin' Good."
