The new theatrical take on The Twilight Zone, which premiered at the Almeida Theatre last year, is set to play the West End. Performances will begin at London’s Ambassadors Theatre March 4, 2019.
The 1960s CBS series has been adapted for the stage by Anne Washburn (Mr. Burns: A Post Electric Play) as eight stories from original writers Rod Serling, Charles Beaumont, and Richard Matheson unfold. Richard Jones directs.
The production features sets by Paul Steinberg, costumes by Nicky Gillibrand, lighting design by Mimi Jordan Sherin, original music by Sarah Angliss (who also serves as sound designer with Christopher Shutt), movement direction by Aletta Collins, and illusions by Richard Wiseman.
Casting for the West End engagement will be announced at a later date.
