Manhattan Theatre Club has announced it will produce the American premiere of Penelope Skinner’s Linda, to be helmed by artistic director Lynne Meadow. The play had a celebrated, earlier run at London’s Royal Court Theatre.

Performances are scheduled to begin February 3, 2017, prior to a February 23 opening night at MTC at New York City Center – Stage I.

Linda is centered on an award-winning senior executive who seemingly has it all, a great career and family. “But when she pitches a revolutionary concept that could change the way the world looks at women of a certain age, she finds herself fighting for her own relevance as every part of her carefully considered life starts to show cracks,” state production notes. MTC bills the play as “timely, moving and fiercely funny.”

Skinner’s The Ruins of Civilization just ended an acclaimed engagement at MTC.

Casting, creative team and additional information will be announced at a later date.

New York City Center – Stage I is located at 131 West 55th Street, New York.
