News New Washington Marches Into Hamilton Today Nicholas Christopher is the new Father of Our Country.

Nicholas Christopher, who covered the role of George Washington in the Broadway smash Hamilton this past summer, takes over the role November 15 and will continue through the end of 2016.

Additional casting will be announced at a later date.

Christopher Jackson, who was Tony-nominated for his turn as the general and first President in the Lin-Manuel Miranda creation, played his final performance November 13.

Christopher appeared previously on Broadway in the ensemble of Motown, and has made numerous Off-Broadway appearances, including David Bowie’s Lazarus, Sherie Rene Scott’s Whorl Inside a Loop, The Tempest in Central Park, and the revival of Rent, as Tom Collins.

Jackson, who also appeared in Miranda's In the Heights and in the original Broadway cast of Holler If You Hear Me, is a series regular on the new CBS show Bull, which debuted September 20. He also has recorded an original song written by Miranda for the new Disney film Moana, hitting cinemas November 23.
